After-freeze

My automatic water system for the rabbits — powered by a small fountain pump for winter — froze during the brief sub-zero temperatures. Where the freeze started, I’m not sure, but you can see what the end result is. One segment is completely busted.

Oh, yay

It’s irritating, because I deliberately didn’t glue a bunch of the joints, so it’d have room to freeze if it came to that. One of the specialty fittings is actually fractured in half. I’ll have to rebuild the entire line, and that’s not happening tonight.

Which is why the backup plan is hanging waterers.

It looks like the other two sections either didn’t really freeze, or popped apart as intended. I hope that’s the case.

The newest kits are doing well, all squirmy.
