Yeah, yeah, I know what the time stamp will say. 🙂 But I haven’t gone to bed yet, so it counts.

I just wanted to post the picture of cute new born rabbit kits.

It’s a meat mutt litter, unless one turns up with a characteristic I’m looking for in the crossing. Nine, the largest litter born yet. Waiting for the NZ doe to kindle, and the Palomino doe I know took a breeding has started collecting hay. She’s not quite sure what to do with it yet, but she’s collecting hay.

Came home earlier this week with discounted, week old Cornish Cross broiler chicks, and ordered a dozen chicks from the GORGEOUS pen one rare-breeds-breeder has. They’re not going to be a showable line (yet), but they are so pretty. Those get shipped on Monday, should be here by Wednesday.

Acquired the Black Cooper Marans pullets I’d ordered, but not heard back from the breeder until … well, two days ago. The possible rooster that was a consideration from the same breeder was nixed from purchase though. First thing he did was try to bite me, and drew blood on my hand. I’m not risking the four year old around a mean rooster like that.

Spent the rest of the day working on the new variation of the grow out coop. I’m hoping this one will be more secure, and slightly better placed.
